Managing Director

Dr. Bipal has 30+ years experience in the domain of Environment Management/Climate Change & Sustainability Reporting. He has amassed proven experience in ESIA, ESG, EHS & ESDD, EIA/EMP, ESMS/ESMF, GHG Accounting, CCRA (Climate Change) assessments, Sustainability Reporting, Regulatory clearances, etc for Renewable Energy, Thermal Power, Hydel, Dams & Reservoirs, Roads & Highways, Flyover, Bridge, Railways, Port & Harbours, Oil & Gas Exploration, Paper Industry, Cement Plant, Battery Industries, Industrial Estates, Mining, Township & Building projects and other infrastructure projects. Dr Bipal is a NABET accredited (QCI, MoEFCC) EIA Coordinator of Thermal Power, Roads & Highways, Industrial Estates, Ports & Harbours and Building Construction projects as well as Functional Area Expert of Air Quality (AQ), Noise & Vibration (NV), Solid & Hazardous Wastes (SHW) and Risk & Hazard (RH). He has successfully completed multifarious projects in India, Bangladesh, Oman, Myanmar & Philippines. Excel in conducting assessments for funding agencies like WB, ADB, IFC, OPIC, AIIB, SCB, JICA, DFID, HSBC, Finnvera, SBICAP, LICHFL, DBS, KfW, MUFG, RaboBank, SMBC, OPIC, etc. Earlier in his professional career, Dr. Bipal held positions at ARCADIS, JACOBS -CES and Ghosh Bose & Associates.

Personal Experience

Dr Bipal pursued Executive Program in Leadership & Management (EPLM) for the year 2024-25 at IIM Calcutta. He earned his PhD from Jadavpur University in 2013, with a dissertation centered on carbon sequestration, greenhouse gas emissions, and strategies for climate change adaptation. He obtained an MBA in Environment Management from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management (IISWBM) in 1996 and holds an M.S. in Chemistry, which he received in 1992 from Presidency College (Calcutta University).
Dr Bipal is the Founder and Managing Director of ECOGENESIS Group of Companies (ECOGENESIS CONSULTANCY PVT LTD and ECOGENESIS PMC PVT LTD). As a Managing Director & Team Lead of ECOGENESIS Group of Business, Dr Bipal is leading the business of Environmental Assessments, Social Assessment and LIA/LRP, Ecology & Biodiversity, Climate Change Sustainability & Reporting, Site Investigation & Remediation Management, Water Sustainability and Public Health Hygiene & Safety.

She has conducted multifarious projects for IFIs eg. ADB, DFID, IFC, RaboBank & USTDA. Subhra is a NABET accredited (QCI, MoEFCC) EIA Coordinator of Building Construction projects as well as Functional Area Expert of Air pollution monitoring, prevention and control (AP).

He is well-versed in managing several Social as well as environmental projects funded by IFC, ADB, World Bank, AIIB, UNICEF, Indian Bank and others in India and abroad. Dr. Vidya Sujitha an Environmental and Hydrologic Expert who holds PhD in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering, MTech in Water and Land Management and BE Civil Engineering.

As an Environment, Water Resources & Climate Change Expert, Dr. Vidya is enriched with 12+ years of experience and conversant in preparation of ESIA, ESDD, EIA/EMP, ESG study, Climate Change risk assessment and developing hydrologic models, interpreting maps/datasets, directing research activities with several years of experience in data management, mapping, analysis, training, EIA/EMP, and management of geographic information systems. She has also engaged in several environmental projects funded by SBICAP Ventures, hydrological projects funded by MoES and NHP and renewable energy projects funded by IFC, ADB, World Bank, AIIB and other banks & investors across India. Dr. Vidya is a NABET accredited (QCI, MoEFCC) EIA Coordinator of Building Construction projects as well as Functional Area Expert of Air pollution monitoring, prevention and control (AP), Water Pollution Monitoring, Prevention and Control (WP), Hydrology, Ground Water and Water Conservation (HG).
